Founded by Joel Ridings, an architect who has delivered dozens of Queensland school projects and master plans, School Strategy Panel (SSP) was born from a realisation: much of the advice schools receive, especially from architects, can be limited by the toolset we carry. When all you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

For too long, schools have been offered building-centric solutions to challenges that actually run much deeper. Our process is different. Yes, we understand master planning, building codes, budgets, engineers, and BGA funding inside and out. But we also know how to engage communities, consult with Boards, bring clarity to strategic plans, and guide schools through adaptive, cost-effective solutions that often don’t rely on new buildings at all.

We’ve reframed our master planning role: SSP is not here to push projects. We’re here to help schools uncover their unique vision for the future and then chart a joined-up path.
